I don't know about you, but for me, half the excitement of gift giving is seeing the response to the gift when they see what it is. It's the surprise, or relief, of getting something great. Or the angst when getting something hilariously bad. Some of my friends know this about me, but my personal phobia is being on the receiving end of getting a gift and it not being the amazing treasure the giver thought it would be. How does this happen? Buying something I already have or that doesn't actually do what they thought it did. I can't bear to cause someone else to experience disappointment. Thankfully this almost never happens during gift giving, so I'm not in need of treatment for it. Have a Merry Christmas everyone!
